To be Itinerant.

February 14, 2010

To be a Nomad,
a Vagabond,
a Hobo,
a Vagrant,
a Gyrovague,
a Schnorrer,
a Son-Of-A-Gun,
a Bastard,
a Traveler,
a Rouge,
a Squatter,
a Beggar,
a Freight-Hopper,
a Moon-Covered,
a Snow-Bird,
a Wanderer,
a Bematist,
a Tramp.
To be Itinerant
…….is to be Free.

Bematist

February 1, 2010

I am the Bematist.
The one who counts his paces,
one by one,
measuring the distance
between zero and ∞,
Alpha and Omega,
The Opening and The Mankind,
between my birth and my coming death….

….and with each step, lies a morsel of the truth.

Floundering Feet-
Smooth Swaying.
Murky Mind-
Eagle Eyes.
Following Fool-
Guiding Genie.

Fire-Caught

November 11, 2009

The gold moth did not love him
So, gorgeous, she flew away.
But the gray moth circled the flame
Until the break of day.
And then, with wings like a dead desire,
She fell, fire-caught, into the flame.

Still Here

November 11, 2009

I been scared and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,
Looks like between ’em they done
Tried to make me
Stop laughin’, stop lovin’, stop livin’–
But I don’t care!
I’m still here!

Walkers With The Dawn

November 11, 2009

Being walkers with the dawn and morning,
Walkers with the sun and morning,
We are not afraid of night,
Nor days of gloom,
Nor darkness–
Being walkers with the sun and morning.
